WHAT IS SHEDDING?
HELP, I THINK MY EYELASHES ARE FALLING OUT!
After using an eyelash serum, ‘shedding’ may occur. This is an increased loss of (eye) lashes.
There may be a temporary increase in lashes falling out. The cause of this so-called shedding is that the resting hair follicles are stimulated by the topical application of the eyelash serum.
In other words, because growth is stimulated by the use of the lash-growth serum, mature lashes are at first pushed out of the follicle at a faster rate in order to make room for the new lashes. This increased loss is accompanied by an increase in the growth of lashes.
If this happens to multiple lashes at the same time, you will notice a temporary increase in the loss of lashes.
But this is actually a good sign, it means that lash growth has been stimulated by using the lash serum.
So, the shedding is merely temporary and you can continue to use the serum without any problems. Shedding, a period during which there is more hair loss than normal, is often not a negative thing. In fact, it is often an indication that the medication or hair-growth product is working.
Do you feel reassured? If not, please give us a call and we can explain further.
